The final show of Nana Mizuki’s Japan tour ’Nana Mizuki Live Zipangu 2017’ has been held at the Saitama Super Arena. Read on for a concert report and an amazing photo gallery!
When the first song Wild Eyes started playing, a 3.5 meter wide camellia appeared on stage and started to bloom, revealing Nana Mizuki inside. Mizuki, dressed in clothes that perfectly represented ‘Japanese taste’, greeted the fans with ‘Let’s create great memories today!’ and heated the venue up with her songs Hatsu Koi and Junketsu Paradox, both rock songs with a traditional Japanese flair. Since it was a winter tour, she played songs like her 31st single Eden, which gives off a winter feeling, not missing out on Eternal Blaze, Power Gate and other songs!
Mizuki also kept up her tradition of the ‘Exciting Project Corner!’ and held a ‘Nana vs. Cherry Boys Taiman 14th competition’. One member of the band Cherry Boys was selected for the ‘Exciting Project Corner’ and they performed one song with just his instrument and her voice. This time, Ryuta Sakamoto and his bass accompanied Mizuki during the song Pray!
Etsuraku Camellia fused traditional Japanese taiko drums and the sound of the band. The climax was reached with Unlimited Beat and the concert ended with the song Meguri Au Subete ni.
Koichi Yamadera appeared as a surprise guest during the encore, performing the Tohoku support song Hana wa Saku ~Animestar version~.
The last song of the encore was supposed to be Starting now!. Nana said, ‘Let’s use this positive power to it’s fullest!’ but the undying cheers from her fans ‘forced’ her come out for a second encore. Together with her fans, she sang the chorus of Super Generation a capella. And with that, her concert of 3 hours and 40 minutes was wrapped up successfully.
