Fate/Grand Order Akihabara Matsuri took place at Bellesalle Akihabara B1 Event Hall in Tokyo between 8 and 10 December 2017. The festival consisted of various events related to Fate/Grand Order (FGO), including a location test. To coincide with the event, an FGO collaboration café with SEGA opened on the first day of the event and will stay open until 21st January 2018. I went to the café to check out what it offers to fans.
The second FGO collaboration café opened its door at Sega Collabo Café Akihabara 3 (6th floor, SEGA Akihabara 2). The café focuses on Arc 1.5 (Epic of Remnant) which concerns the singularity Subspecies. A shop also opened on the 7th floor with a wide variety of FGO goods. One of our crew was really keen on a clear file with illustrations of servants in swimming costumes.
As soon as I stepped into the café, I saw cut-outs and tapestries of servants. I was already ecstatic at this point. There were beautiful illustrations of servants on each table.
The menu consisted of 2 types of food, 10 types of drinks, and 3 types of desserts. The food dishes were ‘Miyamoto Musashi’s two swords udon’ and ‘A 50-ish old man’s intriguing fish burger and chips’. I remember that Musashi did mention udon once. This udon bowl will be popular among not only Musashi fans, but many customers too because a steamy hot bowl of udon is the best food during winter. The fish burger came with a shocking black bun! It’s visually unique, therefore it must look great on your Instagram with the ornamental vivid blue butterflies.
There was a variety of hot drinks on the menu, great for the cold weather. Furthermore, they come with a little snack: a crunchy rice cracker with green tea, a cookie with coffee, and a marshmallow with hot chocolate. I love the combination of Yagyu Munenori’s green tea and rice cracker. It’s so cool and dandy.
For desserts, you can choose from 3 types of colorful parfaits. Each color of parfait signifies each command card: red for buster chain, blue for arts chain, and green for quick chain.
The collaboration café and the merchandise shop will definitely make FGO fans overjoyed. In order to visit, you need to book in advance. Both will stay open until 21st January next year. You can check availability on their official website below.

Each drink comes with a random coaster featuring one character, and you can also get a special bonus coaster when you order from the food or dessert menu. Furthermore, you can obtain a clear card for every 2000 yen you spend at the shop. Both bonus goods are collectible, so don’t forget to ask about them.
We had Yagyu Munenori’s green tea with a rice cracker on that day. It looked and tasted mature. The people next to our table were drinking Musashi (lemonade with blueberry and strawberry jelly) and Archer of Shinjuku (coke and Blue Hawaii jelly). They looked beautiful and I’ll definitely try them next time.
