12 years after the TV series, Eureka Seven is coming back with a movie trilogy. The first movie, Eureka Seven: Hi-Evolution 1, is coming out on 16 September 2017, and the second and third movie are scheduled for 2018 and 2019.
Eureka Seven: Hi-Evolution 1 already held its world premiere at the North American convention Otakon 2017. Over 1,000 fans gathered at the venue to see the movie. General director Tomoki Kyoda was attending the premiere as a guest and greeted fans after the movie. Fans were standing in line to get his signature. When it was announced that the movie will also be released in America, England, France, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, South Korea, Germany and be distributed all around the world, the hall was filled with approving cheers. Many fans gave positive comments about the movie, which is a great praise at an event like Otakon, where so many fans of anime come together. You can read some of the visitor comments below and general director Kyoda also gave a comment about his experience at the convention.
‘I am very grateful and happy to be here in America during the very first screening of the movie. The reactions were so different from those who were involved in the movie, and this taught me a lot about this movie. I would be happy if all of you, those who watched the movie and those who have yet to watch it, would look forward to the second and third part as well.’
