I’m sure some of you might have, but if your not too sure maybe you have seen popular anime’s such as Guilty Crown, Psycho-Pass, or even Kabaneri of The Iron Fortress? Well the band Egoist responsible for all of it! You might of actually heard Chelly’s voice before in an anime!

Egoist Greeting Tour 2016 is one of Egoists first tour around Japan, but their first live performance was in 2013 at AFA (Anime Festival Asia) in Singapore. But this time this is a solo concert with just singer Chelly instead of a festival.
Not too familiar with the band Egoist? But know a little about the anime’s such as Guilty Crown? Then you might have recognized she looks a lot like the character Inori, and that’s because she is the same singer!
The main singer (Chelly) hides her face, and instead the crowded sees a live “hologram” of the character Inori from Guilty Crown. This was a very interesting performance, especially if you never seen a hologram before. The coolest part is compared to Hatsune Miku every action she does is converted onto the screen in real time, so she is there live interacting with the crowd!

Concert Review + Surprises!
The greeting tour took place at Zepp Namba in Osaka, a somewhat small but relativity new venue in Osaka. This time around we chose to get 2F seating so we can have a better view.
Chelly’s set was amazing! She sang all her songs in her performance! The concert also had previews of the new show Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress,
Now of the surprise! For the Egoist fans out there you might of heard of her recent collaboration with Aimer and their song 「ninelie」
The amazing part was Aimer came on stage as a surprise guest!
Both Chelly and Aimer did a duet for a few songs! Such as Departures and Ninelie.
After Aimer left, the actual producer came out to greet us! He then did a special raffle for everyone that bought an Egoist CD at the venue, and another raffle for anyone that had a ticket to the concert! The prizes were a signed poster and cloth poster with the signature of the producer, Ryo (Supercell) and of course Chelly.

Q and A with Chelly!
Next up they did a very special Q and A with Chelly called #おしえてchellyちゃん
This is where the crowd asked Chelly questions on twitter, and she answers them to us!
This was my first Egoist concert, and definitely not my last! The total time of the concert was 3 hours! Because the producer was giving away prizes and doing Q and A Chelly decided to do two additional sets! Each time she said this was her “last song” she sang three more! If you do have a chance to see a “hologram” concert live please do! It’s something new and refreshing, especially for something as cultural as Jpop is.
