2018 was the fifth time the Pikachu Parade took place in Yokohama! Pikachu, the most famous character of the Pokémon series, once again took over the Japanese city of Yokohama and offered shows and performances. Over 1,500 Pikachu took part, or rather marched, during the event.
Take a look at the overload of cuteness we can’t even put into words. Take a look at the picture gallery our Friends from Anime! Anime! shared with us!
Pikachus have arrived!
Pikachu were also out on the sea! They were actually waving!!
This year had a special twist! It wasn’t only Pikachu who took over Yokohama; Eevee also flooded the city! Eevee gathered at the venue and made everybody go wild because it’s so fluffy!
The evening parade featured Pikachus that were lighting up. Some of them were even dancing. People who were taking pictures of them must have a hard time holding back and not waving at them for the sake of non-blurry pictures. They were irresistible!
Time flies when you’re having fun, so the sunset came way too early on that day and one could end the day by admiring the night-view of Yokohama. The famous Ferris wheel of Yokohama even colored its lights to make it look like a Pokéball!
That was fun. We can only hope that the event will take place again next year!
