On Saturday 8 July 2017, Yuki Yuna is a Hero Sumi Washio Chapter ‘Yakusoku’ began screening in Japanese cinemas. On the first day of its run, the main cast attended a stage greeting event at the cinema Shinjuku Wald 9. In attendance were Suzuko Mimori (Sumi Washio), Kana Hanazawa (Sonoko Nogi), and Haruka Terui (Yuki Yuna). They spoke about the highlights of the final chapter of the series.
Scenes connected to the TV series, which airs in October, are scattered here and there throughout the third Sumi Washio film. Hanazawa mentioned that one highlight is how the two girls left behind will continue without Gin. The cast continued, discussing how this relates to Yuki Yuna. With regards to the ‘Hero Club’, they drew attention to the fact that scenes with a vaguely different atmosphere will be seen more often.
Also, it has been a long time from the TV series to the movie release, and this is reflected in the closeness of the cast members and their team work. Terui said, ‘A month ago, I started feeling excited to meet the two of them again’ drawing laughter from the audience.
In addition, the cast answered questions gathered on Twitter beforehand. The 20-minute conversation revolved around things like what they have done recently or promises they ended up breaking.
