Winter 2020 Anime: Official Info, Airdates & Trailers
Keep warm this winter season with the latest anime info at MANGA.TOKYO!
That’s it, boys and girls. Another anime year is over. MT will start 2019 covering 15 titles for our trademark weekly reviews, the most interesting on the anime web! Our writers, instead of over-analyzing each frame and discussing the animation techniques, focus on writing about what makes anime fun to watch! We love anime because they make us feel good, and MANGA.TOKYO wants to leave out all the unnecessary jargon and talk about the scenes that made us laugh and cry, the characters that pleased and annoyed us, the stories that inspired us to do and be more.
This article has a list of the titles we will review this season, a few words about our writers, and an introduction to our articles and regular columns, just to get a taste of what MANGA.TOKYO is all about! Couple that with our Anime Info page and our constant coverage of all the latest anime and otaku news, and you have everything you need to get through the anime winds!
You can also click on the banner below for our customary seasonal list for all our Social Media savvy readers, full of all the online info you need for all the anime of Winter 2019.

Radiant is a peculiar story in the Japanese anime industry because it is neither an anime original nor Japanese. It is based on French comic that was inspired from shounen stories and which found success in the Japanese market. It looks like a weird version of Black Clover and that’s how it will probably go.
JoJo continues its adventures into Winter 2019. This is the only part that focuses not on a JoJo, but on a GioGio!. If you’ve been following our articles, you already know that Giorno’s crew is colorful and peculiar and we will have so much fun learning more about them and their Stands.

Sword Art Online will be with us for a long time, since it is scheduled for 3 more back-to-back cours!!
The second season of the classical music anime. The anime will continue telling the story of two boys from very different walks of life as they grow as pianists.
Who doesn’t like a cute story and it doesn’t get cuter than this: The protagonist is a guy who is socially awkward and who finds a way to connect to the people aroung him through a stray cat he brings back home.
It’s always nice to have a mecha show in every season, and this time MT is going to review not just one but two (along with The Price of Smiles). The director has also done Code Geass and Planetes so we are expecting some serious mecha action.
If you’ve heard of Boogiepop Phantom, then you must already expect a level of mind-bongling wierdness to come from this show. The anime is a remake that will start with the first Boogiepop light novel.
Love? Comedy? Mind Games? Death Note meets its romantic counterpart in Kaguya-sama. The two leads are going to play many games to have the other confess to them.
Get ready for more gambling in the second season of Kakegurui. If you haven’t seen the first season yet, what are you waiting for?
The second season of Mob Psycho 100 and one of the most hyped anime titles of the past year. If you liked the first season, you are going to love this one.

Our isekai pick of the season is not your usual isekai. Part of a sub-genre called revenge isekai, the protagonist is betrayed the moment he enters the new world and takes his time preparing his revenge.
Domestic Girlfriend is a love drama that will probably be a soul-wreaking story of love and physical attraction that is closer to Kuzu no Honkai.
What seems to be one of the hits of the season, The Promised Neverland follows three orphan children as they plan a way out of their opressed existense.
Our second mecha anime for this season, The Price of Smiles will take us off-world and ‘on a planet far from Earth, there is a kingdom full of smiling faces.’
Dororo is an adaptation of a really old manga by one of the most important creators, Osamu Tezuka. With an interesting story that deserves a modern audience, the series is a big gamble on how older manga can be translated on screen using modern techniques.
Thanasis: After satisfying his tokusatsu urges with SSSS.Gridman, he will wait patiently for a second season (he clearly likes Akane and Rikka a bit too much) by reviewing what he feels will be one of the best series of the season, Dororo.
Jennifer: There is one thing you can’t do, and that is take away Jennifer from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Golden Wind. Unless you want to face her Stand. You DON’T want to face her Stand.
Martina: Martina is trying to mix things up a bit. This is her most dramatic leap in genres; she leaves fluffy and cute As Miss Beelzebub Likes. behind and will take on the mechas of The Price of Smiles.
Asie: You’ll never find Asie leaving her favorite genre. This season, she will continue reviewing Radiant!
Christina: Chris is a bit too happy that Double Decker! Doug & Kirill. is over but she is very sad to see the end of Golden Kamuy. To calm her inner beast, Thanasis trusted her with continuing his reviews of Kakegurui during its second season. She will also follow the second season of Mob Psycho 100.
Marianne: Marianne will continue following Kirito in Sword Art Online: Alicization. She will also check what madness awaits her in Boogiepop and Others and witness the love games in Kaguya-sama: Love is War.
Naja: Naja is preparing her best dress for the second season of Forest of Piano. She will then enjoy some quiet times with the little furry friends in Doukyonin wa Hiza, Tokidoki, Atama no Ue. Yet, her review life will not be without its thrills, since she will review Revisions.
Lita: Lita is leaving the world of colors behind and will replace IRODUKU with the isekai adventures in The Rising of the Shield Hero and the love drama of Domestic Girlfriend
Steph: Still having mixed feelings about Goblin Slayer, Steph will now follow Emma, Norman, and Ray in The Promised Neverland.
