Kakegurui is a Japanese manga series written by Homura Kawamoto and illustrated by Toru Naomura. The story is about a school where the students decide the hierarchy through gambling. Do you want to climb the ladder? You have to take a risk…
This is going to be one dark anime if we judge from the red/black color palette, the twisted character expressions, and the jazz soundtrack.
Remember: Gambling is no game, ladies and gentlemen. If you try your luck in real casinos, always play responsibly.

This is one of the anime our female staff here at MANGA.TOKYO is overly excited for. With so many cute boys who could blame them. Dive!! ,in case you didn’t notice, is about a group of divers who are training hard in order to win a place in the Olympic games.
Like any sports anime that has a deep respect for the genre, Dive!! is going to focus on the young studs’ dreams and the struggles, both psychological and physical, that they have to go through. And diving is the perfect theme for the summer season, isn’t it?
Do you like romance anime? Are you a fan of yuri? Then you probably already know about this anime. Some already compare Netsuzou Trap as the yuri Kuzu no Honkai, and it may very well be if you take out the straight couples and replace them with two teenage girls who are having an affair. Of course, their boyfriends know nothing of their little adventure, so expect both male-female and female-female ecchi scenes.

Aho Girl is a short-form anime for which you seem particularly excited! It follows a really stupid girl who managed to take straights Fs in all her subjects. We all like some slapstick comedy, and these brief anime episodes seem to be full of it. Also, bananas seem to be the anime’s official mascot.

Knight’s and Magic is based on a popular isekai Japanese light novel series written by Hisago Amazake-no and illustrated by Kurogin. It tells the story of a mecha otaku who is reincarnated into another world that has huge robots known as Silhouette Knights. Eru, the protagonist, is all about robots and mecha and won’t miss on a chance to pilot one of these.
If you are not sold yet, you have to see some of the mecha designs. They are wonderful.

I want to use an except from our female staff recommendations article (you can find it in the bottom of this article):
Sparkling ball gowns, men in suits, and good music. Great posture and flashy steps. The excitement of a dance tournament and rivals to battle. It’s a sports series, but not quite. And it promises to be amazing, as far as we can tell from the trailers.
That is Welcome to the Ballroom. Many call the anime series a spiritual successor to Yuri on Ice. It is based on a manga series written and illustrated by Tomo Takeuchi. If you have friends who are not into anime but who are into dancing or dancing shows like So You Think You Can Dance or Dancing With the Stars, this might be a good show to watch with them!

Japan is used to being saved from high school students. Especially when they have the power to stop mysterious invaders who threaten to overrun the world. This time, the enemy is called Irousu and the only thing that stand before them is the the students of Shinjugamine Girls’ Academy, a school where Star Guardians train to fight them.
Expect a mix of action and school slice-of-life.

Now that we know Food Wars is getting a third season this fall, we can prepare out taste buds with an isekai food anime that takes place in a restaurant that is located between worlds.
Every Saturday, a little restaurant called Youshoku no Nekoya closes its main door and opens a gate to customers from other worlds. Everyone has a right to some serious gourmet cooking.

Hajimete no Gal is based on a manga series by Meguru Ueno. It follows the story of Jun’ichi, a high school student, who wants to lose his virginity. In order to ‘graduate’, he confesses his love to Yukana, a gal from his class, after hearing that a gal would do anything with him if he just confessed the right way. Of course, the romantic comedy is not going to be all roses and confessions. Junichi will find that the road to graduation is paved with too many boobs and too much sweat.
If you are wondering why the gals in this anime looks the way they do, or why they need to be tagged as such, you have to do some reading on the extremely popular gyaru subculture.
