Fall 2017 Anime: Official Twitter Hashtags & Pages
The MANGA.TOKYO staff had its share of summer. Now, all we wish is for the hot and humid weather to go away and give its place to the red and cool autumn.
Anime events have one main purpose: to make otaku have a great time! To help everyone enjoy AnimeJapan 2017 (23-26 March 2017) we present to you the third part of our event guide. This time, we explore the business area and its schemes.
The business area will be open from March 23 (Thursday) to March 26 (Sunday) and just as the name indicates, this area will be a business-oriented area. This area is intended for those who wish to negotiate business deals with exhibitors and collect anime-related information for business purposes.
For that reason, regular visitors are not allowed to enter the area. However, we are sure that many of you must be pretty curious about exactly what will be conducted within the area. Inside the area, there are three different sections called Anime Business Concierge, Anime Character Introductory Panel, and AJ x ABPF Anime Business College and on March 25 and 26, it will hold two interesting events: Top 10 Anime Collaborations and Business Seminar.
Let’s take a look at each of the sections.
Anime Business Concierge is a central place for anime-related business and it serves as a mediator between anime and enterprises.
To make it easier for companies and individuals who have never had any connection with anime to embark on their new business, this section provides advice for them in an open-hearted manner.
We have previously covered this section in the second part of our event guide, so please check the page below for details.
In order to promote business opportunities such as product developments, this section collects characters from companies running booths in the business area and exhibit their characters along with their work’s information. Visitors will be able to see work’s details such as content, settings, broadcast schedules, and lists of companies. There will be many different opportunities for business enterprises who look to enter the anime industry and partner up with anime works.
It’s the section in which lots of incredible collaborations are born.
This section provides special seminars like Ghost in the Shell REALIZE PROJECT (tentative name), Possibility of Anime Tourism, Anime NEXT 100 – Encyclopedia of Japanese Anime – for those who engage mainly in anime-related businesses. In each of the seminars, people can learn about the excellent work done by active professionals currently working in the front lines of the industry. The seminars are scheduled to take place on March 25 and 26 within the creation area, so regular visitors will be able to hear the seminars as well.
AnimeJapan and Anime Business Partners Forum will work with each other to offer a basic course for domestic anime utilization business.
The venue will take place at the 6th floor of the conference building. According to the course’s instructor, he will explain clearly how to begin anime-related business while referring to actual examples. It will be an informative course for all beginners who plan on entering the industry.
AnimeJapan is also a wonderful business event that further expands the possibility of anime and in fact, a variety of awesome collaborations have so far been realized in this event. We can’t help but be curious about what kind of projects will be born at AnimeJapan 2017.
If you’re an enthusiastic anime fan, it’d be nice to give attention to these amazing projects as well. Perhaps, there will be a heart-pumping future awaiting with some big surprises like, ‘My wife plays a great role in that field!?’ or ‘Limited special collaborative item between this and that!?’
That’s all for Part 3 of the AnimeJapan 2017 event guide. In the next part, we will explore the Creation Area, Cosplayers’ World and Family Anime Festa.
