It’s time for the world to stop looking for apple pens and pineapple pens and start dancing to the next Japanese catchy song that is taking the internet by storm, the Koi Dance!
Popular singer-songwriter Gen Hoshino recently starred in a TBS Japanese TV Drama called Nigeru wa Haji da ga Yaku ni Tatsu. The title literally means ‘Running Away is Shameful but Helpful’ but it was translated in English as ‘We Married as a Job.’
The drama is based on a 2012 manga by Tsunami Umino follows the story of 25-year-old Mikuri Moriyama (Yui Aragaki) and 36-year-old Hiramasa Tsuzaki (Gen Hoshino) who perform a white marriage. The two create the pretense of being a married couple in front of their family and friends, while Mikuri is working at Tsuzaki’s home as a home-maid.
Gen Hoshino also sings the ending theme which has all the characters dancing the Koi Dance:
