It has been announced that two new animated stories of Yu Yu Hakusho by Yoshihiro Togashi will be released with the 25th anniversary Blu-ray box. The new episodes will be called ‘Two Shots’ and ‘Noruka Soruka’.

’Two Shots’ will tell a side-story about how Kurama and Hiei met. It was originally told in the 7th volume of the manga. ‘Noruka Soruka’, on the other hand, is set in volume 19, right before the last chapter. We will see Yusuke, Kuwabara, Kurama, and Hiei and their efforts to resolve religious terrorism. A visual was revealed for the new chapters, a re-production of the original ‘Two Shots’ cover page.

The director of the two extra episodes will be Noriyuki Abe and they will be produced at studio Pierrot. The cast of the TV series will reprise their roles, with Nozomu Sasaki as Yusuke, Shigeru Chiba as Kuwabara, Megumi Ogata as Kurama, and Nobuyuki Hiyama as Hiei. The extra episodes will be released on 26 October 2018 on the 4th Blu-ray box.

Also, J-World Tokyo will celebrate the release of the Blu-ray box with an event from 5 June – 13 July 2018. The event will also include mini-games for a limited time and original dishes inspired by the series as well as new merchandise.
