TV anime YU-NO: A Girl Who Chants Love at the Bound of this World released a second promotional video including characters’ voices and the opening theme.
YU-NO is based on a 1996 adventure game in which countless of worlds exist. It was designed and written by the late Hiroyuki Kanno, who worked on many famous games like the Mystereet series.
The series protagonist, Takuya Arima, lost his mother as a child and also lost his historian father two months before the events of the story in an accident. At this point Takuma has lost all motivation as his final summer vacation as a high-schooler starts. One day, a mysterious parcel arrives that contains an unusual, round mirror and a glass bead stuck into a strange object. The letter that comes with it says that his father is alive! Takuya follows the instructions of the letter and goes to a place where he finds a collapsed woman. There he finds the school’s director and a mysterious transfer student. At that moment a light wraps around him with a heavy roar. That’s the exact moment his trip to a parallel world starts.
The new promotional video shows important characters in action for the first time. You can check out cuts of the first episode and character voices in the 1:40 minute-long video below. Japanese singer Asaka will perform the opening theme, ‘Kono Yo no Hate de Koi wo Utau Shoujo’.
