Kei Toume’s Yesterday wo Utatte (Sing Yesterday for Me) has announced an anime adaptation!
Yesterday wo Utatte tells the story of a young man named Rikuo, who is in love with a university colleague, Haru. The manga started serialization in Shueisha’s Business Jump in 1998. After the magazine’s discontinuation switched to Shueisha’s Grand Jump in 2011 where it ended serialization in 2015.
The announcement was made in the 10th issue of Grand Jump which was released on 17 April 2019 and included a visual of Rikuo and Haru. The author of the manga said, ‘I was surprised when they announced the anime adaptation but I am very interested to see in what way the characters will move. If you add colors and sound it will become a completely new world so I am looking forward to it!’
