Shimba Tsuchiya (Tatara Fujita)
‘Whenever I read this story, I am overwhelmed by feelings. The power of the pictures, the words that go right through my chest and the motivation one receives from Tatara’s growth. To be able to portray Tatara’s strength and to not lose to him, I have to take care of myself and keep up with his growth. I know I am still inexperienced, but I will give my all to worry, dance, and be happy as much as Tatara is. Please watch over me.’
Ayane Sakura (Shizuku Hanaoka)
‘I am Ayane Sakura, who will become the voice of Shizuku Hanaoka. During the recordings I came into contact with the dance sport for the first time and realized that Shizuku’s ability, charm, and talent are out of the norm. I am convinced that the dance scene, that was already very dynamic in the manga, will shine even brighter in the anime. I also think that we as voice actors will be able to show you a great performance. Enjoy this anime that shows you how young boys and girls enjoy dancing.’
Nobuhiko Okamoto (Kiyoharu Hyodo)
‘My name is Nobuhiko Okatamoto, I will portray Kiyoharu Hyodo. I will give my best to make people ask why he is a genius or why he is said to be a genius. The dialogues are also very interesting, so I am looking forward to everything. I also think it would be better to be able to dance later on.’
Toshiyuki Morikawa (Kaname Sengoku)
‘My character is called Sengoku, a pro dancer who will introduce Tatara Fujita to the world of dancing. Since I have to express how wonderful and charming the world of dance is with only my voice, it’s a great responsibility. For this work I want to create a role where your heart skips a beat when you hear “Welcome to the ballroom.” No, from now on the Latin blood will keep you busy! (laugh) Please enjoy!’
Youth, dance with all your might!
Tatara Fujita is a very plain middle schooler, who doesn’t know what he should do. And then one day, competitive dancing crosses his path.
Just one thing is enough. As long as there is something you like.
To change, he decides to let himself fall into the world of dancing. Tatara’s growth is shown with overwhelming heat in this youthful dance anime. Let the adventure begin!
