Risa Taneda will soon return to her voice acting duties after taking a break due to illness, her agency has announced.

When her leave due to health issues was announced in September 2016, there was no indication as to how long it would last, so fans have been waiting for the good news. According to the announcement, Tanemura will make a return keeping her health in mind; she will be taking on a little work at a time.

Taneda made her debut in the 2010 anime Demon King Daimaoh. She is known for such roles as Kaori Miyazono in Your Lie in April, Rize Tedeza in Is your order a rabbit? and Erina Nakiri in Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma. She is also well-known for playing the character Kotoha Tanaka in the game Idolmaster: Million Live. A spin-off game, titled Idolmaster Million Live: Theater Days was released in June 2017, but Taneda was on leave at the time.
