Keep warm this winter season with the latest anime info at MANGA.TOKYO!
Universal Studios Japan started a program in 2015 called Universal Cool Japan. Each year, the park collaborates with different anime and offer special attractions, themed restaurants, and goods. In 2019, Universal Cool Japan will return for the fifth time and it is said to be the biggest scale project in its history. So if you plan a trip to Japan next year, definitely try to squeeze in a visit to Universal Studios Japan in Osaka! The collaborating series for next year will be Detective Conan, Lupin the Third, Attack on Titan, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon and Neon Genesis Evangelion vs Godzilla.
The attractions are split up into two seasons, so it doesn’t matter if you come during summer or spring. You will be able to experience Universal Cool Japan in both! Take a look at the collaborations in detail here:
Detective Conan was part of Cool Japan in 2018 and the popular attractions will return in new style next year! There will be three attractions: an escape game, an entertainment restaurant, and a rally through Universal Studios Japan in search for the one and only truth! Please note that the entertainment restaurant and rally will only be open until 26 May 2019!
Another worldwide popular title is in the line up for the spring term. Lupin will entertain visitors with a Lupin-themed XR Ride and also an entertainment restaurant. The restaurant will close a bit earlier on 26 May 2019!
For this year there will be a completely new attraction prepared! The series was part of Universal Cool Japan in 2015, 2016, and 2017, where it gained a lot of attention. In 2019 it will be back to get revenge. The attraction will be a show.
This is an attraction you can’t see anywhere else! Two series meet, two huge powers collide. Godzilla was already part of Cool Japan in 2017 and Evangelion in 2018. They will now join forces and entertain fans with a theater attraction. We wonder how their collaboration will turn out in the end!
Sailor Moon was part of Cool Japan for the first time in 2018. The experience was as magical as always and Sailor Moon and her friends will return for a theater attraction in 2019. It will be different to the one from this year!
Details about the attractions and what to expect from them will be announced later, but it’s good to already know the exciting plans they have, in case you need to plan your trip already! We are sure there will be many more exciting things announced for Universal Cool Japan 2019, so stay tuned!
