Ultraman Orb aired in 2016 and brought something refreshing into the world of Ultraman. Now, the Ultraman Orb Museum, the first ever museum dedicated to the series, will open on the 6th floor of HMV&BOOKS in Shibuya, Tokyo. It will be open from 10 March 2017 – 2 April 2017. At the museum, you can get a deeper look at the world of Ultraman and see it from a different angle.
Ultraman Orb aired on TV Tokyo and associated channels from July to December 2016, as the new entry to the Ultraman Series. While series like Ultraman Ginga S or Ultraman X were part of the New Ultraman Retsuden (New Ultraman Biography Series) program, this show is the first series since Ultraman Mebius to wear the Ultraman crown in approximately 10 years.
The concept of having two Ultramen fuse together was something new and was met with good reviews. Fusing the strength of Ultraman and Ultraman Tiga made Spacium Zeperion; Ultraman Taro and Ultraman Mebius made Burnmite; Ultraman Jack and Ultraman Zero made Hurricane Slash; Zoffy and Belial made Thunder Beaster and so on. Because of the fusion, the show had a protagonist who could fight in many different ways.
At the museum, visitors will get an Ultraman Orb Lightning attack fusion card as a present, which can be used in the Data Carddass Ultraman Fusion Fight event. Also, you can purchase various limited edition items only sold in the museum! There will also be a café that sells sweets inspired by Ultraman Orb.
Furthermore, Ultraman Orb The Origin Saga is currently being aired on Amazon Prime Video. Ultraman Orb Origin The First, which appears in the saga, will be at the museum on 11 March, while Ultraman Orb Origin will be there on 12 March 2017. A photoshoot is also scheduled.
The long awaited movie Ultraman Orb: Kizuna no Chikara, Okarishimasu! (Ultraman Orb: I’m Borrowing the Power of Your Bonds!) starts on 11 March, so we will probably learn more about the movie in the Ultraman museum!
