TV anime Uma Musume – Pretty Derby announced that it will be airing sometime in 2018. The series has revealed a teaser visual, the official website, and its official Twitter page.
The anime is a joint project between Cygames, TOHO Animation, and Lantis. The series is about a group called Uma Musume (Horse Girls), who are amazing runners and aim to become top idols and compete in the national sports entertainment show Twinkle Series. Since the anime is based on a game coming out in 2018, the broadcasting time for the anime was set in the same year. For now, we can admire the teaser visual that shows us the Uma Musume called Special Week, as she runs with a happy smile on her face. What kind of races will she face? Everybody can look forward to it!
Directing the series will be Kei Oikawa (This Art Club has a Problem!), the character designer and chief animation director will be Yosuke Kabashima. The Series Composition will undertake the producer of the game Idolmaster, Akihiro Ishihara, and Masafumi Sugiura (Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru). The animation producer will be P.A.Works.
A first teaser video for the series has also been revealed, using the song ‘Endless Dream!!’ in the background. The song will be released as a single on 22 November 2017, in both regular and special editions, the latter coming with a Blu-ray that includes the anime trailer.
