Slow Start, the upcoming Winter 2018 anime based on the manga with the same title currently being serialized in Manga Time Kirara (Honbusha), released a bunch of new information about the cast, theme songs, and broadcast date!

The anime will be broadcast on various stations: TOKYO MX, Kansai TV, TV Aichi, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, and BS11 will start to air the anime on 7 January 2018. Furthermore, TOKYO MX, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV and BS11 will broadcast a special, one week before on 31 December 2017.

Three new characters were revealed: Shion Kozuka, Hiroe Hannen, and Kiyose Enami. Shion Kozuka, Hana’s cousin and caretaker of ‘Temari Heights’, will be played by MAO.  Hiroe Hannen is a tenant at ’Temari Heights’ and will be played by Maaya Uchida.  Last but not least, Manami Numakura will lend her voice to the teacher of Hana and her classmates, Kiyose Enami.

Theme Songs

The voice actors of the four main characters (Reina Kondo, Ayasa Ito, Tomomi Mineuchi, and Maria Naganawa) have teamed up as ’STARTails☆’ in order to create the opening song ‘ne! ne! ne!’. The CD will be released on 24 January 2018.  The unit’s name ‘STARTails☆’ was created based on the anime’s school Hoshio Girls High School. [NB: Hoshio literally means star tail]. In charge of the ending song is vocalist Mia. A mini album with character songs for Slow Start will also be released soon.
