The official Twitter account of upcoming SAO spin-off anime series Gun Gale Online announced that the show will be part of the Spring 2018 season.

The anime is an adaptation of the spin-off novel series Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online. Gun Gale Online is written by Keiichi Sigsawa and illustrated by Kouhaku Kuroboshi, both known for Fall 2017 anime Kino’s Journey.

Main character Llen will be played by Tomori Kusunoki. Yoko Hikasa will be playing her friend Pitohui. M will be voiced by Kazuyuki Okitsu, and Fukaziroh will be voiced by Chinatsu Akasaki.
