Trigger’s most recent work ‘Little Witch Academia’ will get produced into an TV anime
March 2013, “Little Witch Academia” was published as a work by a participant of the young animators training business event ‘Anime Mirai 2013’ by the Agency for Cultural Affairs.
The short animations by Trigger director Yoh Yoshinari enchanted not only Japan but the whole world.
Fans who watched the one episode that was uploaded to Youtube raised their voices for a sequel and the Kickstarter campaign reached its goal of about 150.000$ in only 6 hours.
After one month having reached 625.518$, four times of the targeted sum, the production of the anime was decided.
In July 2015, at the North American anime convention ‘Anime Expo 2015’ the first premiere screening was held. The sequel ‘Little Witch Academia: The Enchanted Parade’ was rewared with a standing ovation by all 4.000 visitors of the premiere. The sequel was shown for two weeks from October 9th of the same year.
And now the TV production of the long awaited new series ‘Little Witch Academia’, the most recent work by anime production studio Trigger was decided.
Information on the broadcasting date and the story will be released at a later date, but look forward to new adventures in the world of ‘Little Witch Academia’!
