Touken Ranbu The Movie, the live action adaptation of the game Touken Ranbu Online, will open in Japanese cinemas on 18 January 2019. A trailer has been released, in which we can finally see the Token Danshi (sword men) in full motion! Furthermore, the second set of pre-sale cinema tickets featuring the designs of Yamanbagiri Kunihiro, Heshikiri Hasebe, and Honebami Toushirou is available from now on.
The movie is based on a smartphone game where the user is defending history with their collection of ‘sword men’ – famous swords that have been turned into beautiful men. The cast for the live-action movie are Hiroki Suzuki, Yoshihiko Aramaki, Ryo Kitamura, Masanari Wada, Hiroaki Iwanaga, Fuma Sadamoto, Taizo Shiina, Tomoki Hirose, Koji Yamamoto,and Norito Yashima. They all reprise their roles from the Token Ranbu stage plays.

Touken Ranbu The Movie will open in Japanese cinemas on 18 January 2019. The third round of pre-order tickets will be released on 14 December and feature visuals of Yagen Toshiro and Fudo Yukimitsu, which completes the total of eight designs.
