Tonko House, the studio created by Daisuke Tsutsumi and Robert Kondo (both former art directors of Pixar), is working with Hulu Japan to adapt their animated short The Dam Keeper to a short-form series. They haven’t decided on the final title. Until then the project is called Dam Keeper no Nakama-tachi.
The new series will follow Pig and Fox, the same characters we met in the 18-minute film, and it will be directed by former Pixar animator Erick Oh.
Tonko House previous works include a collaboration with studio Craftar and Marza Animation Planet for an animated short based on Genki Kawamura and Yuuki Mahiko’s picture book Moom.
