Tokyo Ghoul, originally by Sui Ishida, will get a stage adaptation with Ryo Matsuda cast as Ken Kaneki.
Part of the cast was announced at the special stage event at AnimeJapan 2017: Shogo Suzuki as Nishiki Nishio, Mitsu Murata as Uta, and Tomokazu Yohida as Renji Yomo. Kaneki’s actor was cast in an open audition. The first character visuals of him will be revealed in Shueisha’s weekly Young Jump Number 18, which comes out on 30 March 2017.
The first Tokyo Ghoul stage adaptation in July 2015 was performed in the AiiA 2.5 Theater Tokyo and in Kyoto with Yuki Ogoe as Ken Kaneki. This stage adaptation will be a sequel and come to Tokyo and Osaka in Summer 2017.
