The Promised Neverland, a unique suspense series with a different kind of jailbreak story, will get a live action movie adaptation in Winter 2020! Emma will be portrayed by Minami Hamabe, Ray by Jyo Kairi, and Norman by Rihito Itagaki.
The Promised Neverland is based on a manga that started serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in August 2016. So far there have been 16 volumes of the manga released, with over 16 million copies sold worldwide. An anime adaptation aired from January to March this year, and a second season is slated to air in 2020.

The ages of the main characters have been raised by about 4 years for the movie, making it possible to cast the most suitable actors for the roles. The movie will be directed by Yuichiro Hirakawa (Erased, Stepmom and Daughter Blues), and the script will be written by Noriko Goto (Erased, War of Lie).
The movie is scheduled to be released in cinemas across Japan in Winter 2020.
