Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Diamond wa Kudakenai, Chapter 1, the live action movie which was announced a couple days ago, released a new teaser video. The 15-second movie doesn’t contain any scenes from the movie, but is instead reminding us that the movie is sceduled to release in summer 2017. It features a few scenes from the staff and cast press conference that was held on September 28.
One thing to note is that this is the first time that the logos of Toho and Warner Brothers Japan are shown one after another. Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Diamond wa Kudakenai is the first movie they co-produce and distribute. Maybe their cooperation signifies a new era for Japanese cinema.
Currently, the movie is shooting in Sitges, Spain. Director Miike said that ‘as the digital technology has been developed, I basically want to follow the original work, including the characters, their costumes, and the background.’ The shooting will be moved to Japan for the final part
We can’t wait to find out how the movie comes out and how the characters are recreated.
