Spreading like wildfire is news of the stage show Live Impact Attack on Titan. The new teaser video shows the real-life equivalents of main characters Eren Yeager, Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert!
The manga Attack on Titan by Hajime Isayama has sold more than 62 million copies worldwide. Its story was adapted into an anime, a two-part live action movie series, games, and light novels. The first theater adaptation uses new actors that are recently getting popular, as well as actors who are active all around the world. The whole cast consists of 150 people. Top creators came together for this long-running stage play that will have more than 55 shows.
The three actors we see in the teaser are Hiroki Miura as Eren, who also played Atobe Keigo in the Prince of Tennis Musical 3 and is active as a ballet dancer. Mikasa is played by Minami Tsukui, who is known for her performance as Dragon Kid in Tiger & Bunny The Live and has experience as a stunt actor. Last, Armin will be portrayed by Shogo Sakamoto. He is a singer-songwriter and was the 4th Ryoma Echizen in the Prince of Tennis Musical.
During the teaser, they show the familiar gesture of crossing their chest with their fist and use phrases like ‘a blast that strikes the audience’ or ‘the highlight: battle in the sky.’ The stage will be opening on 28 July 2017 at the Maihama Amphitheater.
Members of the official mail magazine have a chance to get tickets for the preview that will be held during the first week of performance, from 28 July 2017 until 17 August 2017. The application period is from 25 February 2017 – 5 March 2017.
