Sword Art Online -Ordinal Scale- was released in Japan on 18 February 2017 and it’s still going strong! It ranked first during its opening week, and until now more than 1.75 million people in Japan went to watch Asuna and Kirito in cinemas, earning it more than 2.5 billion yen. That’s not all, as even overseas more than 1 million people have so far been to see the anime movie!
To celebrate this success, it has been announced that the movie would return for a triumphant screening on 10 June 2017 at Cinecitta in Kawasaki. ‘Live Zound Gaisen Jouei-kai’ will also include a talk event and it was announced that great stars will attend. For one, the director Tomohiko Ito and sound director Yoshikazu Iwanami will attend. After the screening, those two will talk about the amazing sound equipment used for this movie, as well as the special effects and more.
Since 17 May 2017 the movie is also showing in France. It had a good start and ranked 3rd in the daily rankings. In the near future the movie will also be in cinemas in Italy and Vietnam, so if you are from any of those countries, take the chance to watch the movie!
