Strike the Blood III will release 10 OVA episodes over five volumes, starting on 19 December 2018. The series has introduced eight new cast members and their characters.
Strike the Blood is an action fantasy story set in a school based on a light novel by Gakuto Mikumo. Kojo Akatsuki is a high school student that has acquired the power of the world’s strongest vampire, the ‘Fourth Primogenitor’. Yukina Himeragi, an apprentice swordmaker, is entrusted with the mission to keep watch over him. We follow their adventures.
III will complete the first part of the light novel on screen and there will be a total of 10 episodes released in 5 volumes. The first volume will be released on 19 December 2018, the second follows on 27 March 2019, the third on 29 May 2019, the fourth on 24 July 2019, and the fifth and last one on 25 September 2019.
A part of the new cast has also been revealed: Sayaka Senbongi as Yuiri Haba, Kaede Hondo as Shio Hikawa, Misaki Watada as Glenda, Lynn as December, Hikaru Akao as Clary, Shun Horie as Rogi, Anzu Haruno as Raan, and Kosuke Toriumi as Takehito Senga.
The opening theme will be ‘blood and Emotions’ by Kishida Kyodan & The Akeboshi Rockets. The ending theme will be ‘Love Stoic’ by Risa Taneda (voice of Yukina Himeragi).
A special event will be held on 16 June 2019 with Yoshimasa Hosoya (voice of Kojo Akatsuki) and more attending as guests. There will be a day-event and an evening-event and those who buy the first or second volume will be able to apply earlier for the ticket lottery and have higher chances for a ticket.
