The upcoming anime adaptation of Kentaro Okamoto’s and Riri Sagara’s Sounan desu ka? has released a new key visual, announced additional cast members and has revealed a new trailer.

Sounan desu ka? will tell the story of four high school girls who find themselves stranded on an uninhabited island after an airplane crash and fight for their survival. Joining the previously announced cast is Akio Otsuka, who is the father of Homare Onishima and taught her survival skills. The trailer features the opening theme ‘Koko wa Doko’, sung by the characters Homare (voiced by MAO), Asuka (voiced by Hiyori Kono), Mutsu (voiced by Kiyono Yasuno) and Shion (voiced by Azumi Waki), and the ending theme ‘Ikiru’ by Kiyono Yasuno. It also shows the girls eating cicadas and other things to survive.

The series will start airing on 2 July 2019.

There will be a premiere screening of the first three episodes taking place in Tokyo on 29 June 2019. The four main cast members will be attending the event and appear for a talk segment. Tickets can be bought on the official Togeki cinema website starting 7 June 2019, 20:00 (JST). In case there are seats left until then, tickets will become available directly at the cinema from 8 June 2019.
