An anime adaptation of Yuko Tokumi’s Slow Start was announced back in May and now it has been decided that the anime will air during the Winter 2018 season. The main staff have also been revealed. Hiroyuki Hashimoto (Is the Order a Rabbit?) will be directing the series and Mio Inoue, who worked with Hashimoto on Is the Order a Rabbit?, will be in charge of series composition. The character designer is Masato Anno (Flying Witch) and anime production will be done by A-1 Pictures. Anno himself drew the new visual, and from left to right we can see the four main characters, Kamuri Sengoku, Eiko Tokura, Hana Ichinose and Tamate Momochi.
The visual was shared through the new official website and Twitter. It an also be seen as a panorama poster at the JR Akihabara train station. The anime revolves around Hana Ichinose, who is secretly a year older than her classmates. She was held back a year because of sickness.
