Sono Toki, Kanojo wa. will be produced as a joint anime project by Eisaku Kubonouchi and Saeri Natsuo. It will be a short anime that follows the realistic love story of four women who live in Fukuoka. The anime will use real places of the city, so those who live in Fukuoka can look forward to recognizing places they see every day, and those who haven’t been there yet can look forward to seeing new places.

The short anime will also be participating in the Focus on Asia Fukuoka International Film Festival 2018. It will be shown during the Special Program Fukuoka Panorama category, which introduces and supports movie creators. The Fukuoka Film Festival takes place for the 28th time this year and attracts a lot of attention from fans and the media since it is a unique festival focusing on Asian movies.

Introduction

This is a short anime that was produced under the theme ‘Anime Falling in Love’. The main characters are 4 different women who span from a high school girl to a full-time worker, thus showing love stories from different generations. Eisaku Kubonouchi is in charge of the original story and character design, and writer Saeri Natsuo, who is well-known for her fictional romantic tweets that caused quite the sensation on Twitter, is in charge of the script. The anime will be produced by the up-and-coming company MASTERLIGHTS.
