Seven Deadly Sins Movie Reveals Visual and more

It finally is time to reveal more information about the upcoming anime movie Seven Deadly Sins – Prisoner of the Sky (Nanatsu no Taizai Tenkuu no Toraware Hito). The second visual for the movie has been revealed and shows a darkness looming over Meliodas and the others. Along with the visual came a trailer that shows an exciting fight and introduces all of the seven sins with a visual.

The series also introduces the voice cast of three original characters for this movie. They are called Sorada, Elatte and Bellion. Sorada will be voiced by Tsubasa Yonaga, Elatte by Haruka Tomatsu, and Berylion by Toshiyuki Morikawa. We have a short introduction of the characters and a comment from all three voice actors.

Tsubasa Yonaga as Sorada

He is a boy living in the Sky Castle above the clouds and is one of the Sky people. He has wings growing from his back. To protect the Sky Castle from evil, he is looking for the legendary Oshiro-sama.

‘I was chosen to voice Sorada in the movie of Seven Deadly Sins. That I would be able to work on this great series wasn’t something I was expecting, so I am super excited but also a bit nervous. I think it would be great if I can become even just a tiny bit of strength for the members of the Sins. I am counting on everybody’s support!’

Haruka Tomatsu as Elatte

A girl from the sky people. Her appearance resembles Elizabeth, but she is more of a tomboy. She waits for the return of Sorada from the ground, where he escaped to after breaking the law, because of a promise he made.

Toshiyuki Morikawa as Berylion

The leader of a strong group of demons called ‘The Six Black Knights’, which aims at the life of the sky people to break the seal of the evil that has been locked 3,000 years ago. He wields a big sword and his strength is said to be second to the Ten Commandments.

Story

This is a world in which fairies, goddesses, and demons exist. ‘The Seven Deadly Sins’ is a legendary group of criminal knights and a princess who saved the Kingdom of Liones when it was on the verge of destruction by demons. A bit of time has passed since Liones has been saved…

To celebrate the king’s birthday, the Seven Deadly Sins have come to look for a special ingredient, the Sky Fish. Leaders Meliodas and talking pig Hawk are blown up to the Sky Castle up above the clouds when they go too high into the sky to catch a Sky Fish. The people who live in the Sky Castle have wings, and when they see Meliodas, they mistake him for a different boy who has broken their law and put him in jail. The sky people are actually preparing for a ceremony they hold once every 3000 years, which is held to prevent an evil monster breaking its seal and getting free. However, a group of strong demons led by Berylion called ‘The Six Black Knights’ is aiming to worsen the fate of the sky people by breaking the seal. In order to protect them from these brutal and cruel demons, Meliodas and the others are going to face the Six Black Knights!
