Go Nagai’s Devilman Crybaby will be turned into an anime which will stream over Netflix. It is scheduled to become available in Spring 2018, but a second teaser has already been revealed, together with the announcement of the cast, who left a message for the fans.
The trailer shows the exciting moment when the main character turns into Devilman and gives a good impression on what we can expect from the series.
Koki Uchiyama was cast as Akira Fudo. He said about the series, ‘I want to see something that one can’t see on TV. This is a story I would want to watch as a viewer. On top of that, the animation is amazing. I am very happy that I get to work again with the people from Ping Pong. I hope Devilman Crybaby will come out soon and surprise the adults of this world.’
Ayumu Murase, who was cast as Ryo Asuka, said, ‘It feels like a dream that I get to participate in a series which represents Japanese manga. Recordings have already begun and we are still challenging ourselves to express the content vividly and with all we have. Please look forward to the way the faded world of the original work is going to be revived. I am looking forward to the day my voice will reach everyone as Ryo Asuka.’
