During the finals of the World Cosplay Championship last week (August 7) the Sword Art Online production company held a Theater Appreciation Japan Tour for the upcoming ‘Sword Art Online’ movie, which will be released in cinemas this spring.

This new theatrical film, called Sword Art Online The Movie: Ordinal Scale (劇場版 ソードアート・オンライン -オーディナル・スケール) will be screened in about 1.000 theaters around the world. This tour is targeted to the overseas fans who want to see the movie before everyone else. The tour will include: a stage appearance by the cast and staff,  limited goods and gifts, fan meetings, a SAO collaboration cafe, a VR experience, as well as a game-related stage performance.

The beginning to sell of the tour is October 2.  The production company will soon announce the countries that will be included in the tour.
