The anime adaptation of Yuu Shimizu’s Rokuhodo Yotsuiro Biyori has revealed a new visual, a second trailer, and additional cast members.
The manga is a heartwarming story set in a Japanese café called Rokuhodo. Yakyo, who is the twin brother of the café owner Sui, will be voiced by Tomoaki Maeno. The mysterious man named Kadosaki who approaches the café will be voiced by Kousuke Toriumi, and the cat Kinako, who is the mascot of the café, will be voiced by Kohei Amasaki. The new key visual shows the main characters in their beautiful traditional clothes as well as other characters involved in the story.
Also, a second trailer has been released, which shows Sui, Kiyotaka, Gure, Tokitaka, and Tsubaki cooking and serving the costumers who come to their café. The trailer is narrated by Junichi Suwabe, the voice of Sui. Furthermore, the series will have a stage event at AnimeJapan 2018 on 24 March 2018 and Junichi Suwabe (voice of Sui), Yuichi Nakamura (voice of Tokitaka), and Maeno Tomoaki (voice of Yakyo) will be attending!
Comment from Maeno Tomoaki
‘Yakyo is an unusually important character, who spices up the story by bringing new wind into the world of the series with his gentle aura. His charisma is similar to Sui’s. I hope I will be able to express his ambitious side as well. I would be happy if you were looking forward to seeing how he influences the story.’
Comment from Kousuke Toriumi
‘At first glance, my character Kadosaki seems very flashy, as if he is planning something and you just can’t see his inner feelings. However, in reality, he is very serious and gentle, so I enjoy recording his lines. We are slowly progressing with the recordings, so please wait for the release and look forward to it!’
Comment from Kohei Amasaki
‘Kinako is the mascot of the Rokuhodo. Since the story is so nice, I feel refreshed every time. I think a big part of the refreshing feeling the series gives is Kinako, so I acted with care. Everybody who likes cats shouldn’t miss it.’
