TV anime revisions revealed a new visual at Anime Expo 2018. It has also been announced that Koki Uchiyama, Mikako Komatsu, Nobunaga Shimazaki, and Soma Saito have been cast for the series.
The anime will air through +Ultra, a new programming block of Fuji TV which will start in October 2018 and is made with the intention to ‘spread anime culture overseas’. Revisions will start airing in this slot from January 2019. The series will be directed by Goro Taniguchi, who also worked on Code Geass and ID-0. Series composition will be done by Makoto Fukami (Psycho-Pass) and the character design by Sunao Chikaoka (Wake Up, Girls!). The anime will be produced by Shirogumi.
The story is set in a world over 300 years in the future in Shibuya. The world is caught up in the mysterious phenomenon called ’Shibuya Drift’, where limitless wilderness and woods reign and people from the future called ‘Revisions’ operate huge machine monsters. To return things to ‘now’, boys and girls have come to the isolated Shibuya Drift to fight the ‘future’.
This time the main cast has been announced. Koki Uchiyama will voice the main character Daisuke Dojima, who was kidnapped as a child and was told a mysterious prophecy about his future. Mikako Komatsu will voice Milo, a person from the future who survived the pandemic. The two of them will be joined by Nobunaga Shimazaki, Rie Takahashi, Manaka Iwami, and Soma Saito. You can find a character introduction to all of them in English on the Official Website of Revisions.
