It has been announced that RErideD – Derrida, who leaps through time (RErideD: Tokigoe no Derida), the original anime series from director Takuya Sato and character designer Yoshitoshi Abe, will be released in October 2018! The title has revealed additional cast members and has also released a second promotional video.

It has been revealed that QUADRANGLE is in charge of the anime’s opening theme and that the two characters Mage (VA: M・A・O) and Yuri (VA: Himika Akaneya) are to perform the ending theme. The newly announced cast members are Hiro Sasaki as Vidaux Völker, Kaede Hondo as Mayuka, Kazutomi Yamamoto as Graham, Yu Kobayashi as Donna, Takahiro Sakurai as Nathan Bilstein, Minoru Inaba as Hans Andrei, and Kenichiro Matsuda as Jaques Yvain. We have also edited our staff list below with Shigeyuki Koresawa who is in charge of design works and worldview setting, Naoko Sato who will keep an eye on the color settings and many more.

Story

The year is 2050.
A young engineer named Derrida Yvain became famous thanks to his contribution to the development of ‘Autonomous Machine DZ’ at Rebuild, the manufacturing company founded by his father. One day, Derrida and his colleague Nathan find a serious flaw in the DZs. They try to warn their boss but they are ignored.

Although aware of the danger, they reluctantly decide to put off taking any measures and go to the birthday party of Nathan’s daughter, Mage. The next day, after spending a peaceful time, Derrida and Nathan are suddenly attacked by unknown forces. At the end of the escape, Derrida falls into a cold sleep machine and 10 years later, he wakes up to a devastated world in the middle of a war. Being attacked by a group of out-of-control DZs, Derrida almost gives up, but he recall’s Nathan’s last words, ‘Take care of Mage.’

Despite the harsh fate that has fallen upon him, Derrida sets off to seek Mage. Beyond time, we reunite — This is the story of a journey for hope.
