It has been announced that the ending theme for the live action movie Rainbow Days (Nijiiro Days), which is based on a manga by Minami Mizuno, will be titled ‘Wanderlust’ and has been written by Kenji Furuya from Dragon Ash. The song was inspired by the movie and Furuya left a comment about it, which you can read below.
The movie will also have a variety of insert songs, including ‘Niji’ and ‘Baumkuchen’ by Fujifabric, ’17-sai no Uta’ by Mao Abe, ‘Gunjou’ by Leopla, and ‘Your Song’ by Super Beaver. ‘Gunjou’ is a new song, which was composed by Shogo Kaida and has lyrics written by the director Ken Iizuka.
The movie dives into the everyday life and love adventures of the characters, Natsuki Hashiba (portrayed by Sano Reo from Generations from Exile Tribe), Tomoya Matsunaga (portrayed by Taishi Nakagawa), Tsuyoshi Naoe (portrayed by Mahiro Takasugi), and Keiichi Katakura (portrayed by Ryusei Yokohama). In the trailer, you can hear ‘Wanderlust’ and ‘Niji’ play in the background!

‘I watched everything from the beginning to the end and from there I created the song. I am thankful I got to see this movie which made me produce the words and the melody that could only result from meeting its characters. I would be happy if the viewers would stay to listen to the ending theme until the end and leave the cinema with a light heart.’
