Fall 2017 Anime: Official Twitter Hashtags & Pages
The MANGA.TOKYO staff had its share of summer. Now, all we wish is for the hot and humid weather to go away and give its place to the red and cool autumn.
The anime movie Kimi no Koe wo Todoketai (to be released on 25 August 2017) features in its cast the voice actor unit Now On Air, made up of members who all passed the Kimikoe Audition back in 2016. The members are Suzuko Mimori, Yuki Kaji, Tatsuhisa Suzuki and Masako Nozawa.
Madhouse, known for producing The Girl who Leapt Through Time and Chihayafuru, will also be in charge of this movie production. Directing the movie is Naoyuki Ito (Doikidoki! Pretty Cure The Movie Memories for the Future).
Now On Air and high school students from the area come together at the local radio station at Shonan Kamakura every Wednesday at 11 p.m. for a community-based radio program called Kotodama Radio. Social media is at its peak, which is why they used such a topic as connecting people through ‘the power of voices,’ hoping to gain more attention.
The story is set in a town at the coast of Shonan. In the middle of it is a girl and her worries, dreams, conflicts and her dear wish to make her ‘voice’ (=create memories) reach someone.
16-year-old Nagisa is getting a little impatient, since she just can’t seem to find a dream for her future. Her grandmother told her from a young age of the story that the soul of a person can stay alive in a single word, which she believes.
One day, Nagisa gets lost and finds a mini radio station that hasn’t been used in some time, and starts to mimic a DJ for fun. Her broadcast reaches an unexpected person.
