The manga was serialized in the 1970s in Shogakukan’s Bessatsu Shojo Comic and centers around Edgar, a vampire who will forever live in the body of a young boy. The main characters will be played by the Takarazuka top stars, Rio Asumi and Ayase Senna, and the script will be written by Shuichiro Koike.
Koike joined the Takarazuka Revue in hopes of making the manga into a musical, with his first suggestion coming as early as 1985. Now, their dream has finally been realized. The performances will take place from 1 January – 5 February 2018 in Takarazuka, Hyogo, and from 16 February – 25 March 2018 in Tokyo. Tickets will go on sale on 2 December 2017 for Hyogo and on 14 January 2018 for Tokyo.
And as Poe no Ichizoku ~Haru no Yume~ is currently being serialized in Shogakukan’s Monthly Flowers it will also be released as a volume on 10 July 2017.
