If you are visiting Japan sometime between 20 January and 25 February 2018 and are a fan of One Piece, then you have the chance to visit Luffy and co. on stage! DMM VR Theater in Yokohama is collaborating with anime One Piece and has created a dramatic stage called One Piece Dramatic Stage The Metal ~Reminiscing Marineford~. It is a CG hologram performance so there is no need for glasses or head displays. The stage is about Trafalgar Law and Bartolomeo who invite Luffy and his friends to a party, but before they can take one bite, something gets in the way.

The theater will open its doors from 20 January to 25 February 2018. One performance is about 45 minutes long, and there are 4 performances per day (closed on Tuesdays). There are three different tickets available to purchase. Premium tickets are limited to a number of 1 thousand. Tickets sold for 6,000 yen per adult come with an original exclusive T-shirt in sizes S to XL. Tickets sold for 5,000 yen come with a small towel. Normal tickets purchased before the event starts are 2,500 yen and tickets purchased on the same day cost 2,700 yen. Children under 3 years can enter for free but have to sit on their guardian’s lap. There are different rates for high schoolers and middle schoolers and there are also cheaper tickets for elementary schoolers and pre-schoolers. Tickets can already be purchased online at l-tike and 7ticket.

All visitors will be handed a niku light (lit. meat light) for the performance so you can cheer on Luffy and his friends. Even if you don’t buy a ticket to see the show, you can see various displays and statues outside the theatre and take plenty of photographs!
