It has been announced that the upcoming anime project for The Disastrous Life of Saiki K will adapt the final chapters of the manga.
The anime is based on a comedy manga of the same name written by Shuichi Aso which ran in Weekly Shonen Jump.
The story follows a powerful psychic high-school boy named Kusuo Saiki and the numerous ‘disasters’ he faces while trying to hide his powers from his unique classmates. The series has so far been adapted into two anime series as well as a live action movie.
In the final episode of the second season of the anime, Saiki used his precognition abilities to foresee a new anime, and the episode ended with him declaring to the audience, ‘What’s this, and anime nobody has seen before? Let’s meet at the next episode of The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.’ It has now been officially announced that the new anime will be the final part of the series.
More information will be announced in weekly Shonen Jump this October.
