Neko no Otera no Chion-san by Makoto Ojiro has won the Manga Grand Prix of the 2016 Bros. Comic Awards of TV Bros. (Tokyo News Tsushinsha). It was announced in the TV Bros. December 31 issue released on December 26.
Neko no Otera no Chion-san is a peaceful love comedy staring Gen Suda who goes to a high school in the countryside, and Chion Koterasawa, a girl 3 years his elder who lives in the temple where Gen stays. It is serialized in Weekly Big Comics Spirits (Shougakukan). In celebration the award, the magazine featured a brand new illustration and an interview with Ojiro.
Saho Yamamoto, whose work Okazaki ni Sasagu won the Manga Grand Prix last year, contributed an illustration as his way of passing the award to the next winner.
