The nominated works for the 91st Academy Awards (R) were revealed on 22 January 2019 (US Time).
Nominated for the Best Animated Feature Film are Incredibles 2, Isle of Dogs, Mirai, Ralph Breaks the Internet, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

The Academy Awards (R) added Best Animated Feature Film to their categories in 2001. Hayao Miyazaki’s Spirited Away won the award at the 75 ceremony, followed by six Disney animation works: Brave (85th), Frozen (86th), Big Hero 6 (87th), Inside Out (88th), Zootopia (89th) and Coco (90th). Five works have been nominated for this year’s Best Animated Feature Film.

Incredibles 2 is Pixar Animation Studio’s 20th work.
Isle of Dogs is the newest movie by director Wes Anderson.
Mirai is the latest movie by director Mamoru Hosoda.
The continuation of Wreck-It Ralph, Ralph Breaks the Internet, is about Ralph and his friend Vanellope exploring the world inside the Internet.
The popular American comic hero Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was nominated and won the Best Motion Picture – Animated award at the Golden Globe Awards.

We are excited to see which work draws the most attention and earns the crown at this year’s Academy Awards. The 91st Academy Awards’ winners will be announced on 24 February 2019 (US Time).
