The live action movie Tokyo Ghoul 2 (tentative title) has constantly been revealing their cast members. So far we know that Masataka Kubota (Kaneki), Shunya Shiraishi, Kai Ogasawara, Hiyori Sakurada, and Nobuyuki Suzuki will reprise their roles.
Minosuke Bando will also be back in the second movie to play Uta. Bando Minosuke II is a kabuki actor, a member of Bando-ryo school of Classical Japanese dance, played Zoro, Bon Clay, and Squadro in Super Kabuki II: One Piece and Naruto Uzumaki and his father in the new kabuki play Naruto.
In the second movie of Tokyo Ghoul, Bando is to play Uta, a character from the 4th ward’s mask studio. Uta created a mask for Kaneki when he became a half ghoul, and was concerned about him in the previous movie. However, in this movie we will see him with a strange expression having a bite at the Ghoul Restaurant, where other ghouls meet…
The released pictures show Uta in kakugan-state (red eyes), and with piercings and tattoos all over his body
Comment from Bando Minsuke
‘I am honored to be able to reprise my role as Uta. The well-made tattoos and piercings are back. The delicious eye balls snacks from the previous movie became appetizers in the new one.
Please pay attention to Uta, who gradually, but definitely starts moving (wriggle?).’
