The upcoming anime movie Mazinger Z: Infinity, based on the legendary 70s robot Mazinger, has released a new key visual that shows the famous mecha standing on top of a destroyed city.
Mazinger is famous all around the world, and was even popular throughout Europe in the 80s and 90s. The movie is already scheduled to screen in France and Italy, prior to the Japanese release. Original creator Go Nagai, has also been invited to attend the International Rome Film Festival this October.
The movie will be released in Japanese cinemas on 13 January 2018.
The story of this new anime movie takes place ten years after the events of the original TV series. Koji Kabuto, the pilot of Mazinger, is now a scientist, as his father and grandfather before him. After finding a huge structure buried beneath Mt. Fuji, he brings forth a new threat to the human race. Mazinger will be needed once again.
