Shaft has produced countless popular anime series, including “Puella Magi Madoka Magica” and the “Monogatari” series.
“~Shaft 40th Anniversary~ MADOGATARI Exhibition”, an exhibition celebrating the 40th anniversary of animation studio Shaft, will be held as Tokyo encore on Thursday, September 22nd through Sunday, September 25th.
Tokyo encore has finally released the main visual of each venue!
The main visual of Tokyo encore features top 7 characters at “MADOGATARI General Election” held in Nagoya and it includes my favorite character Shinobu with doughnut.
Tokyo encore has subdivided the designation of the entrance time in order for more people to be able to enjoy the event.
Exhibitions include the production materials of the new animations (the movie “Kizumonogatari <II Nekketsu-hen>”, TV anime series “3-gatsu no Lion” and others) that will be produced over 2016 to 2017, as well as first-appearance of the new movies so people who participated in the previous events can also enjoy this event.
Also, new goods such as “MADOGATARI Exhibition Picture Record”, a blu-ray disk that contains the exhibition contents that were displayed at each venue from Tokyo to Nagoya, the concept movie of “Puella Magi Madoka Magica” are planning to be sold.
MANGA.TOKYO participated in Osaka but popular goods soon sold out so we recommend purchasing the goods earlier.
However if you hurry too much, you won’t be able to appreciate the exhibition thoroughly so decide beforehand which you will take precedence over!
Also, on September 25th, the last day of the event, “COSSAN meets MADOGATARI Exhibition” by Minerva will be held at JASMAC AOYAMA.
Changing rooms are prepared in Comfort Aoyama which is a two-minute walk from the venue of MADOGATARI Exhibition and you can enter the exhibition site in your cosplay costume as well.
(An admission ticket is required to enter the MADOGATARI Exhibition)
Also, the filming locations that include the official background are planned to be placed at JASMAC AOYAMA.
You can borrow cosplay costumes of Puella Magi Madoka Magica and the Monogatari series as well so this would be a good opportunity to try doing cosplay and have a filming experience.
