It is now possible to spend a night in a room using Hideaki Sorachi’s Gintama as a theme at the Prince Hotel in Ikebukuro’s Sunshine City in Tokyo. The room will only be available from 14 April – 31 August 2017.
During the event period, a sign reading ‘Yorozuya Gin-chan’ (Odd-jobs Gin-chan) will welcome the visitors to their room. Inside the room, the guests are greeted by live-sized Gin-chan and other characters wearing clothes like the hotel employees. More than 30 characters are arranged everywhere. A special trick will also greet the visitors in the bathroom and toilet.
Furthermore, it is possible to take some amenity goods back home, such as a fundoshi (a kind of Japanese underwear). And the café restaurant ‘Chef’s Palette’ on the first floor will serve original Gintama-themed drinks. Guests staying at the room can choose between two plans: one is just a room that comes with the original goods and the other is the full-on themed room and also comes with goods. Reservations can be made on their official website starting 31 March 2017.
