On the Red Stage at AnimeJapan 2017 on 25 March 2017 Hiroshi Kamiya, Haruka Tomatsu, Kana Asumi, Ken’ichi Suzumura, Aki Toyosaki, Tsubasa Yonaga, Momo Asakura and Sora Amamiya were guests of a stage event called Kokuhaku jikkou iinkai series special stage (Confession Executive Committee Series Special Stage). They all wore pink, red, or white costumes to fit the theme of the stage: Love. The stage was illuminated by either soft peach or refreshing blue light. The comedy duo America Zarigani hosted the event, making it a funny talk show.
The first question was ‘What if the Kokuhaku jikkou iinkai series were an application?’ The first one to raise their hand was Toyosaki, who answered, ‘An application that shows you where the closest toilet is.’ Suzumura countered instantly, ‘That’s an app you wished existed, right?’ making the audience laugh. Amamiya’s idea was an alarm clock application. She copied the theme song of her character and said that after the theme song the character would say ‘Good morning!’ Yonaga said that the app would be able to measure the compatibility of oneself with friends or anime characters.
The next questions was, ‘What if the Kokuhaku jikkou iinkai series were an anime episode?’ Tomatsu suggested a ’10 years later’ episode, because she would like to see the characters in their late twenties. Asakura wanted to see an episode about the parents of their characters, because they do not appear in the movie. The answer was very deep and even got Kamiya interested. The rest of the event was also full of thoughtful and interesting answers.
At the end it was announced that they are currently working on a smartphone application with music from HoneyWorks. And who knows, maybe they end up using one of the ideas the voice actors had on stage!?
Furthermore, they announced an anime special for the Kokuhaku jikkou iinkai series. Broadcasting time and other details will be announced soon.
